In February we had our usual stand at Confex, for the first time held at EXCEL in London’s docklands. Little did we know that literally 3 weeks later it was to become the Nightingale Hospital.
Sadly, but for obvious reasons, the two other shows we normally attend, CHS in Leeds and Birmingham and Venues and Events Live in Old Billingsgate were postponed. We hope to be back at them all and say ‘HI’ to friends old and new at all these as soon as it’s safe.
Like many, we saw a sharp fall-off in activity in March with many productions ground to a halt and the voiceover industry had to change quickly as a result. The change was so prevalent that we even wrote a blog on this back in June 2020; How The Voiceover Industry Has Change Since Covid-19.
However, in spite of all the spring disruption, this hiatus gave us the perfect opportunity to rebuild our website from the ground up, with lots of new features.
We’ve also been lucky enough to grow our talent base over the course of the year too, with now contact to over 300 British and international voiceovers, and kids voices too!
Our talents are located worldwide and all have home studios, most with dial-in you you can direct virtually as they record, so you can hire the perfect voice talent, with no logistically issues.
We appreciate that you may have some concerns of booking a voiceover for an events or production this year during these unpreceded time, however at Great British Voices, we aim to be as flexible as possible with your project requirements and budgets.
So if you need a voiceover artist for an upcoming project, then please do get in touch with us with your brief, or email our voiceover agent Alex Campbell at alex@greatbritishvoices.co.uk
