The 2-day event combines information, education, networking and knowledge sharing, plus several glittering awards ceremonies The event gathers over 1000 fleet decisions makers and influencers and the Fleet Europe Awards are the highlight of the event.
The summit organisers were looking for someone who could understand both the fleet and motor industry in general and work with delegates from over 33 different countries. They researched live host Andy’s background performing at similar high profile events on stage, TV and Radio and thought he could add something really special to the event.
Andy says…
“I’ve always had an interest in the motor industry. I’ve previously run event businesses that had ‘preferred status’ with both Vauxhall and Renault, as well as doing numerous regular features on my TV and Radio shows. The chance to get first glimpse at the new technology being offered to global fleet managers, including an array of new electric vehicles was both exciting and intriguing. It’s always interesting to mix with global industry leaders as you learn so much”.
He continues…
“It was more than ‘just another’ awards dinner. With an illusion show opening that included magically appearing inside a flaming cage (below), it was one of the most exciting to present”.
The conference itself was interesting to work on and brought together several leaders linked to the fleet and motor industry worlds. Having a live host for their stages and helping the speakers deliver their messages was the key.
The awards ceremonies were thrilling, as there was a full stage show at Estoril Casino including a stage entrance routine usually reserved for David Copperfield! I won’t spoil the magic, but it required awaiting my moment for almost 10 mins in the most cramped position, before springing into life in front of 1000 delegates.
Here’s a short clip from the spectacular opening sequence…
“It was a real pleasure working with you. In such a short time, you were able to understand our company, our industry and our event and add your ‘touch’ to it!”.
“Andy! Quite impressive, like your presence on the stage and handling the awards ceremony! Hope to see you again next year!”
“It was a real pleasure to work with you. I’m sure we’ll work together again in the future”
Live host Andy loves the variety of Emcee work, TV, Radio and stage events and will continue to enjoy the mix across 2020 with some great events, conferences and awards ceremonies. However, appearing from a flaming cage on stage is getting increasingly dangerous!
Andy frequently hosts events in both the sporting and motor areas, including working for English Premier League Football clubs.
