At age 18, Craig Rower joined holiday company ‘Travelsphere’ as their youngest ever Tour Manager. Not only did this mean he could fund his way through Leeds University (where he gained a degree in European language and Business), it also gave him an opportunity to lead groups all over Europe. In fact, he’s been to pretty much every country on the continent. This love of travel has stayed with him, and in his 30s he took a year out to travel to the USA, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and his ‘Fatherland’ country of Jamaica. Craig speaks excellent French, conversational German and is learning Spanish.
In his early-mid 20s, Craig started working for the BBC, and in seven years worked his way up from production assistant in studio and on location, to promo director, live gallery director and producer, and production manager.
He has also led hundreds of workshops on TV training for BBC new recruits. After his year out, he made his way into TV presenting, an occupation he has honed over the last 15 years.
As well as entertaining TV programmes, Craig has presented factual projects for the likes of the NHS, HMRC and HMS Victory, as well as leading corporate public facing events for Discovery TV, the BBC, Boots, and Braun.
As a voice artist, his projects are as varied as narrating children’s stories for the BBC, hosting a CBBC radio show and explaining online tax software to accountants on the HMRC website.
The passion for property is shown in his buying, renovating and selling of 3 London properties and he has recently completed his biggest renovation project yet.
He loves keeping fit and healthy and to this end is a big fan of various types of yoga, loves the buzz of ‘HIT’ classes and winds down with country walks particularly in the Chiltern Hills.
He has a family he adores and 3 beloved nieces that he admits he spoils rotten.
