Calypso Newman is the founder of Rock Badger, a creative consultancy that transforms data into art and live visuals, helping businesses to tell their unique stories.
Her career experience has a strong foothold in the art world, having worked for magazines, auction houses, and comms.
She has also recently been awarded the Northeastern Women Who Empower Innovator Award for “AI Empowering Impact”.
Calypso Newman founded Rock Badger in 2022 in order to challenge the forms and functions of artificial intelligence and data. They use AI and art to transform how consumers connect with data.
Prior to founding Rock Badger, Calypso worked as an intern at global communications firm Edelman, Infringe magazine, Christie’s, Fujisankei Communications International, and The Auction Collective.
Calypso has led a number of undergraduate workshops, and is in the process of developing a global course on art and technical innovation at Northeastern University.
