Caryn Franklin has interviewed some of the most iconic names in fashion, from Yves Saint Laurent to Georgio Armani. She presented televised tributes at the V&A for ITV, featuring Vivienne Westwood and Philip Treacy.
She has also written and produced fashion programmes for BBC 1, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery, Granada and UKTV Style. She was also the director and host of The Clothes Show for the BBC, which she fronted from 1986-1998.
Nowadays, Caryn enjoys sharing her expertise with others. She has held lectures at the Central St Martins College in London, the London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art.
She also has an honorary Doctorate from Kingston University, is an Honorary Fellow at the Arts University College of Bournemouth and a Visiting Fellow at London College of Fashion.
She is an ambassador for the London College of Fashion’s Centre for Sustainability and helped create the Diversity Network at Edinburgh College of Art. She is also the education ambassador for Clothes Show Live, a brand she has worked with since its conception over two decades ago.
Caryn has chaired the award-winning Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, for 17 years and co-founding the award-winning All Walks Beyond the Catwalk in 2009, promoting sustainable body image and beauty ideals. This project has since been introduced to fashion students worldwide.
