David is now a full-time Voiceover Artist, but the path that led him to the role has been quite circuitous! Initially trained in photography, he switched to social work and then working in theatre.
David spent 20 years in production and live-TV as writer, producer and/or director, his experience has encompassed broadcast news as well as talk, game and music shows, he’s also made commercials, corporate videos and training films.
David’s voice is neutral RP/ English. He has a voice age of 40 – 60 and he can also offer an array of characters.
David started voicing when, after a fruitless search for “the voice” that a client was happy with, that same client suggested that David do it! Reluctantly he did, and the rest is history. Since then, David has worked almost exclusively as a “mic-man” narrating award-winning documentaries as well as numerous international commercials.
Drawing on his experience as a director who tried to get the best out of voice actors, he’s now a voice artist who endeavours to give directors and clients exactly what they want.
