Dominique Woolf was once a sleeve-deprived mum of three small children, and going through an identity crisis. Once a singer-songwriter who performed at Glastonbury, Dominique was looking for her new purpose.
And just five years later, she had found it. As founder of the food brand The Woolf’s Kitchen – which is stocked in the likes of Selfridges – winner of Jamie Oliver’s Great Cookbook Challenge (2022) TV show, and as author of the #1 Sunday Times bestselling recipe book, Dominique’s Kitchen.
Her incredible story is proof that spice is the variety of life; which is ever-present in her heritage, recipes, and products she creates. She has since used her love for spice and turned it into a speaking tool, focussing on Strategy, Persistence, Innovation, Creativity, and Execution – in other words, SPICE.
From her first vision, to launching a new business during lockdown, to wowing the judges on national television, to gaining over 20,000 followers on social media, Dominique will inspire audiences with her story, and her personal and professional advice.
Dominique Woolf’s love of cooking has been evident for many years. beginning in market research, Dominique has been a freelance food writer since 2018, which then expanded to cookbook writing, developing recipes, and cooking. She holds an Essential Cooking Certificate from the Leith School of Food and Wine, which she gained in 2019, and she also founded The Woolf’s Kitchen Sauces in the same year.
In 2019, she founded two networking groups. The first, Creative and Entrepreneurial Women is aimed at women in creative industries, those setting up their own businesses, or freelancers. With the second being Crouch End Food People, aimed at people who work within the food industry.
Inspired by her Thai heritage, Dominique has already released one very successful cookbook, with another due for release in late 2024. In 2022, she published Dominique’s Kitchen, which went on to become the #1 book in the Sunday Times charts; and in 2024 she will release The Asian Pantry: Quick and Easy, Everyday Dishes Using Big Asian Flavours.
Her quick rise in the culinary industry is fascinating and inspiring, and Dominique now uses her own experience to help inspire audiences. She has appeared at various events, including The Food Exchange by Enterprise Nation, and at The Foodies Festival.
I cannot recommend Dominique Woolf enough as a speaker and entrepreneur. She has a gift for breaking down challenging concepts into digestible, actionable steps, making it easy for everyone in the audience to apply her advice. Her relatable, and honest approach to her work make her an absolute joy to learn from.
