TELEVISION
Eamonn Holmes has been an ever-present face in the daily lives of the British public since 1993 when he joined GMTV (1993-2010), co-presenting the show until 2005, before moving to present the award-winning Sky News Sunrise (1989-2019) where he stayed until 2016. Since 2006, Eamonn and his wife, Ruth Langsford, have been guest-presenting the ever-popular ITV show, This Morning (1988-). In 2022, Eamonn joined the GB News team to present a brand new breakfast show alongside Sky News alumni Isabel Webster.
Whilst best known for his news presenting, Eamonn has been the guest-host of programmes such as The National Lottery Jet Set (2001-2007), as well as co-hosting a number of shows with his wife including Eamonn & Ruth’s 7 Year Itch (2017) and Do The Right Thing with Eamonn and Ruth (2018-2019), as well as starring in a number of reality and panel shows like Best Menu Wins (2021) and Celebrity Gogglebox (2013-).
He also has a number of years’ experience presenting sports coverage for snooker, horse racing and darts. He was the main host of the BBC’s coverage of the 1991 and 1992 World Darts Championship, the host of ITV’s coverage of the Phil Taylor vs. Raymond van Barneveld Showdown in 1999, presented OnDigital’s coverage of the 2000-2001 UEFA Champion’s League and hosted the Sports Show on ITV in 1999-2000.
RADIO
Eamonn is also a popular voice on the radio, presenting The Eamonn Holmes Show on BBC Radio 5 Live for six years, as well as Drivetime with Eamonn Holmes and Let’s Talk With Eamonn Holmes on talkRADIO. He has also hosted programmes for Magic Radio and Radio 2, where he took over from Michael Parkinson.
He also has his own podcast, Eamonn & The Gaffers, where he chats to some of the biggest names in football management, available on all major platforms.

WRITING
Eamonn released his autobiography This is My Life in 2006, which documents the highs and lows of his incredible presenting and broadcasting career. He has a column in Best magazine alongside his wife, has contributed columns for The People newspaper, and has been featured in Hello!, Woman’s Own, Woman and OK magazines.
He is very popular on social media, interacting with his followings of over a million on Twitter, 765,000 on Instagram and 300,000 on Facebook. It is on these platforms that he reaches a wide audience of ages and backgrounds.

His long-running and impressive career have earned Eamonn a number of awards and accolades, including the Television, Radio & Industry Club’s award for Best Satellite and Digital TV Personality on no less than three occasions, and was nominated as TV Personality of the Year at the 2007 Audience Awards. He received an honorary doctorate from Queens University Belfast and from Staffordshire University for services to broadcasting
CHARITY WORK
Outside of his presenting and writing commitments, Eamonn is also a passionate charity supporter, having acted as a patron of Dogs Trust, the Northern Ireland Kidney Patients Association and The Amy May Trust, a supporter of the Dementia Friends campaign, UNICEF, Friends of the Cancer Centre and The Alzheimer’s Society, as well as being a celebrity ambassador for Variety GB.
