FASHION AND MODELLING
As a fashion stylist and presenter, Elspeth’s career began at ITV’s This Morning, styling models and celebrities for the live shows. This led her to become a freelance fashion writer for Reveal Magazine and as a fashion blogger for shopping centres nationally.
She’s covered London Fashion Week, SS16, where she sat front row, reporting on the top trends for the season.
Her latest fashion venture has been hosting the Wella Trendvision Hair Awards 2019, touring the UK, and hosting the grand final at The Roundhouse.
With her fresh face and vivacious personality, Elspeth has also modelled for various companies, fronting commercial campaigns for companies as diverse as T-Mobile, Ted Baker, TGI Friday’s and McCains.
MEDIA
Alongside her current on-air work as a radio presenter, Elspeth joined Candid Magazine as a music writer, contributing a weekly post to Candid’s expansive digital music section, keeping readers attuned to what’s new in the world of music.
Her radio experience started at Hoxton Radio when she was first invited on as a fashion expert, but she quickly found herself at the helm, producing and presenting her own music show ‘The Alternative Hour’; she then went on to work for Global Radio.
Her DJ experience covers a range of genres, including club classics, indie, rock, party, garage, and Motown. With her own decks and software, she DJs across a variety of events including the Radio X Summer sessions rooftop parties, store openings, festivals, and club nights.
This combination of music and fashion has seen her hosting Gordon Smart’s indie club night ‘This Feeling’ and fronting the online show for The Sun, as well as hosting Celebrity Soccer 6. This has fed into her sporting knowledge as she also has experience hosting the online Betsafe Premier League Football show alongside ITV’s Anna Williamson. She also hosted the Adidas campaign for the New Zealand All Blacks, interviewing the team and covering the rugby world cup; she has also worked as the on-court announcer and host for the British Open Wheelchair Championships.
OUTSIDE THE MEDIA
On top of her radio, television, fashion, and sport work, Elspeth has recently completed a PGCE in primary teaching, and masters in Child Development. She has extensive knowledge on how children like to learn, what they enjoy, and how best to interact with them. She has worked with children on a number of projects, styling, choreographing and hosting – at Kidtropolois at the Excel Centre, for example.
She has also presented shows for brands including Mothercare, and Young and Pure teen beauty, as well as hosting a roadshow for Disney Channel’s Fashion Wizards, and Jungle Fever, a live animal show co-hosted by Michaela Strachan.
Her love for sport stretches past her professional life, with a particular passion for running; she recently raised over £8,000 running the London Marathon. She has also run the Royal Parks half marathon for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
She is currently undertaking a diploma in nutrition, and holds a diploma in animal behaviour, spending time volunteering at the Celia Hammond Animal Trust.
Her love for nutrition, health, and wellbeing was truly sparked when she was 22 years old, when she was struck suddenly by a brain haemorrhage and a stroke, leaving her in intensive care for three months, open brain surgery, radiotherapy, and close to death.
