Emilie Bellet is one of the UK’s leading investing and personal finance experts, particularly when it comes to women and finance.
With a career in private equity, Emilie is an entrepreneur who founded Seed Recruit, a web-based recruiting platform, in 2013, followed by Vestpod, a digital platform aimed to empower people to improve their financial wellbeing, in 2016.
She is a successful financial author and contributor to a range of publications; she is also the host of the award-winning The Wallet podcast, is a member of the Women in FinTech Powerlist, and curator of the Money Matters Festival.

Emilie Bellet studied Economics at the Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, before following this up with a Masters in Management from the ESCP Business School.
Emilie started her career in private equity, working for Societe Generale, Lehman Brothers, and Trilantic Europe, as well as helping Flubit with their financial modelling.
Since 2020, she has been the host of The Wallet Podcast, an honest money conversation with a wide range of guests from employees to freelancers, entrepreneurs and financial experts.
BUSINESS
In 2013, Emilie co-founded Seed Recruit, a web-based recruiting platform that creates value by automating the recruitment process using powerful online tools. She worked as their Chief Operating Officer for a year.
In 2017, she founded Vestpod, which aim to make it easier for women to be smarter with their money by sourcing relevant and interesting, but trustworthy content relating to money and careers. The Vestpod community is mainly made up of women aged 25-40 with a range of wealth backgrounds, from savers to investors.
Emilie’s experience in the finance industry has seen her included in the Women In FinTech Powerlist of 2023 as a Senior Leader, and was a finalist in the 2018 Women in Finance Awards as Disruptor of the Year.

In 2019, Emilie Bellet published her book, You’re Not Broke You’re Pre-Rich: How to Streamline Your Finances, Stay in Control of Your Bank Balance and Have More £££. The essential handbook aims to help readers debunk financial jargon and break financial taboo. It’s packed with actionable tips and practical advice about how to invest, how to make your savings work for you, and why financial health is just as important as mental and physical health. She was also a contributing author to the WealthTECH Book, a financial tech handbook for investors, visionaries, and entrepreneurs in global asset management.
Emilie is also a prominent contributor to publications; she is a regular columnist for The i Paper and The Financial Times, and has had her work in Vogue, Glamour, The Guardian, Stylist, and Courier Magazine.
