Emma is a professionally trained voiceover artist, who has lent her voice to many audio dramas, corporate voiceovers and “sensor triggered” character voices in various tourist attractions around the UK.
She speaks naturally with a soft Black Country accent (similar to B’ham), and can also read fluently in German and French.
Trained in vocal variety, she is able to voice characters in their 20s right up to their 60s.
Emma trained professionally with former BOVTS senior voice and dialect coach, G. Owston, and has been able to voice a huge variety of characters ranging from young, wealthy, ladies in their 20s from the 1800s speaking in RP, to older women in their 50s speaking in a strong Northern accent.
Other accents voiced authentically include General American, West Country, Lowland Scots, Cockney, General London, Heightened RP.
Another specialism of Emma’s is natural “verbatim” voice acting: where a transcript of an interview for example is read yet sounds real (often used in training videos or documentaries where the person in question remains anonymous).
