Jack Laugher MBE is a diver who competes for England and Team GB in synchronised events and individual springboard.
In 2016, along with diving partner Chris Mears, Jack became Britain’s first Olympic diving champion by winning a gold medal in the synchronised 3m springboard event in Rio. He would also win a silver in the individual event, becoming the first Team GB diver to win consecutive medals at an Olympic Games.

Jack Laugher first became interested in diving when he was seven years old after a lifeguard at Harrogate Hydro swimming pool suggested he take lessons.
He broke out onto the senior international diving stage in 2014, and has since won many medals in the 1-metre and 3-metre individual springboard, and the men’s 3-metre synchro.
He added a bronze medal to his collection at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He also holds an astounding 39 gold medals, 25 silver medals, and 19 bronze medals across the World Championships, European Championships, British Championships, World Cup, Commonwealth Games, World Series, and National Cup.
In 2024, he competed at the Paris Olympic Games; he placed 7th in the individual three-meter springboard, but won a Bronze Medal in the synchronised three-meter springboard!
Jack was made an MBE in 2017 for his services to diving, won the Diver of the Year at the British Swimming Awards in 2017 and 2018, and was named Overall Athlete of the Year in 2018.
With over 700,000 social media followers, Jack has become a popular sporting speaker on the circuit, providing anecdotes about his time performing at an elite level.
