Jack Nolan is one of the UK’s youngest mental health and empowerment, high-performing neuro-diversion, mental health inspirational speakers.
Surviving two mental health breakdowns, psychosis, and a diagnosis of Bipolar, Jack bounced back, turning his negative circumstances into an opportunity to bring value to people’s lives.
He is also an author, having published a range of novels and inspirational books.
When Jack Nolan was 19, he was sectioned under the Mental Health Act for showing signs of psychosis.
His hospital admittance meant he had to drop out of university and sacrifice his dream of working in TV and Film production – a career he had started to build up as a runner whilst studying.
He spent 19 days in the hospital, but recovery was tough, and he was unable to find the strength to even move from the bed to the settee, let alone get washed, dress, or face the outside world. But he was determined to fight back and fight he did.
Jack spent over a month contacting a particular publisher he wanted to work with, and eventually, he got the publishing contract for the novel he was after. Three months later he had a book launch and he found himself on the shelves of Waterstones.
His first novel, On The Job, was released in 2017 and was followed up in 2019 with Dead Ends, both gangster-themed crime novels. He also published two inspirational reads, The Intuitive Mind: An Explosion of Creativity and Madness, and You Can Become in 2018, both of which were aimed at helping those suffering from mental health issues or negative circumstances to find light in their lives again.
Sadly, after two years of rebuilding his life, he became unwell again, showing signs of mania and paranoia. He found himself being sectioned again, and spent 30 days in the hospital; once again he had to rebuild his life.
Now in his late 20’s, Jack Nolan has faced more personal and professional adversities than he can count, from relationship breakdowns to mental health struggles, to losing big investors due to unforeseen economic circumstances. He continues to bounce back and prove his resilience with his bulletproof mindset approach to life.
Jack’s adversity and motivation to get on with life has seen him successfully inspire audiences from corporate companies, including Barclays Bank, Camelot Lottery, Hewlett Packard, and Reckitt.
The Two Wars We Face and How to Win Them: Jack’s story is full of lessons about overcoming adversity and building personal resilience in personal and professional circumstances. With a focus on mental health, self-belief, and self-awareness, Jack looks at the war between our internal mind and the external world, and about how to achieve success in life, whatever that may look like for the individual or company.
The Decisions We Make: Life comes down to the decisions we make, whether they be big ones or seemingly insignificant ones. Jack engages with audiences to get them to think about their own decision-making. He inspires teams to think about their decisions by being honest about their own life experiences, both positive and negative.

Jack understands that each client has their own specific set of needs that he must meet, whether that be resilience or motivation, or empowering teams about their mental health. His focus is on putting the client’s needs first, tailoring his messages around that in an entertaining, relatable, and inspiring way, leaving audiences inspired to make positive changes in their own lives.
Be you until they see you for who you are, don’t fake it until you make it: Some people make the mistake of pretending to be something they’re not, to pretending to be more successful than they are. But this is a mistake. This mentality can harm mental well-being as being inauthentic can cause anxiety, overwhelm, and stress.
Resilience is built on the foundation of pain: Strength is not easy to come by; it is built by pushing through the past and stepping into the future. It’s about dealing with uncomfortable situations, past trauma, and pain – or anything that can hold you back in life.
Break through limiting beliefs: When Jack was a child, his first teacher told him he would never succeed, and so the first thing in his journey was to break through those beliefs so they didn’t hold him back. It’s important to remember not to let someone else’s negative beliefs become your reality.

NHS
Jack is an engaging and inspiring individual who has an amazing story to tell. His determination and passion to break down stigmas and raise awareness of his mental health condition and those of others is admirable. I am excited to see what amazing things Jack does next!
Camelot
Jack told his story, in his words, his way and this is what I found made the session so powerful. A young man who has been through so much, but a situation which is transferable for anyone aged 8-80 years of age. His ‘open all areas’ presentation was extremely engaging and 60 minutes felt like 6. In life I think everyone is looking for honesty and with honesty comes trust, acceptance and belief, Jack delivered all of these things.
Barclays
Everyone who attended has said how great it was to hear a real-life example of how you can overcome problems. Your talk was truly inspirational and motivating. You spoke with absolute honesty and confidence, which was really engaging for the attendees.
Hewlett Packard
Jack connected with every one of our employees. It was really inspiring to hear Jacks story. How he has gone from adversity to turning it into his advantage.
