Jonny Combe is the President and CEO of PayByPhone, one of the fasted growing mobile payment companies in the world.
His natural entrepreneurial spirit was evident from an early age, when he started a car washing business in his neighbourhood when he was just 14 years old. While studying at the University of Stirling, he had a number of business ventures, including buying and selling used cars.
Before joining PayByPhone, Jonny worked as the General Manager of Digital and Innovation within the BMW group, pioneering their award-winning innovation lab.

Prior to joining the BMW Group, Jonny Combe held many positions within the BMW Group. He started as a Marketing Executive, then a Customer Service Support Manager, a Corporate Sales Manager, and Customer Strategy Manager.
By 2014, he was the General Manager in Digital and Innovation, followed by the same role within the Environment, Real Estate, Mobility, and Innovation departments.
In 2018, he joined PayByPhone as their general CEO, and then their corporate CEO where he was responsible for their global B2B business across Europe and North America. He is currently the President and CEO.
He was recognised in 2020 as “one of the UK’s top ten business gamechangers”, and has been featured in numerous publications such as The Economic, and The Scotsman. Topics he has written about include voice technology, the evolution of cars, why you need to surround yourself with people who will tell you you’re wrong when you are, and marketing.
