Kimberley Walsh is best known for being one-fifth of the successful girl band Girls Aloud, who were so successful they ended up being nominated for five BRIT awards, as well as holding the record for the shortest time between band formation and reaching number one.
As well as her successful group and solo singing career, she has expanded to become a popular figure on stage and TV.
She reached the Strictly Come Dancing (2004-) final in 2012, released an autobiography in 2013, and appeared in world-renowned stage shows including Shrek and Elf. Through this multitude of experiences, she has proven to be a force of nature across the entertainment industry.

Kimberley Walsh found fame in 2002 when she secured a spot in Girls Aloud on Popstars: The Rivals, alongside Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and the late Sarah Harding. Now a household name, the band reached critical acclaim across the globe, accumulating six certified platinum studio albums, the 2009 Brit award for Best Single, a number of consecutive top 10 singles and the title of the UK’s Biggest Selling Girl Group of the 21st Century.
During a brief hiatus from the group in 2011, Kimberley embarked on a solo singing career, collaborating with a range of popular musicians including Alfie Boe, Ne-Yo, Ronan Keating and Jamie Cullum, and even completed tracks for the 2011 film, Horrid Henry: The Movie.
Off the back of her hugely successful singing career, Kimberley became a popular choice for stage shows, appearing on the West End in Shrek the Musical (2012), Elf (2015), Big (2019) and Sleepless in Seattle (2019).
Since the girl band split in 2013, Kimberley has become a familiar face on our television screens, guest presenting for the likes of Loose Women, This Morning and Lorraine, fronting the documentary Blue Jean for Sky1, presenting Channel 5’s Strictly: Before They Were Stars, as well as presenting live shows for The X Factor and the BAFTAs. In 2016, she co-presented the Grand National Day special on Weekend Brunch alongside Tim Lovejoy.
In 2017, Kimberley turned her hand to fashion design, launching the children’s clothing brand Kimba Kids with her brother. She is also a great choice for brand campaigns and has worked alongside brands such as; Schwarzkopf, Maltesers, Puma, Right Guard, Regatta, New Look and Dorothy Perkins.
In 2010, Kimberley became a weekly columnist for OK! Magazine, and published her autobiography A Whole Lot of History in 2013, where she documented the insider secrets of Girls Aloud and the music industry.
Kimberley is passionate about using her fame and status to help others and has worked with a number of charities, most noticeably, Comic Relief. In 2009, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro alongside the likes of Alesha Dixon, Fearne Cotton, Ben Shephard and Gary Barlow, as well as visiting Uganda, contributing to a charity single and running the Sport Relief Mile.
In 2009 Kimberley was placed number 37 in FHM’s annual list of the 100 Sexiest Women in the World, won the Yorkshire Woman of the Year award in 2009 in recognition for her professional success and charity work, and the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Woman’s award later that same year.
In 2021, Kimberley was a co-host for This Morning Live, and has also hosted The Girls Aloud Party and The Friday Night Project.
