He is also a familiar voice on the radio as the newsreader on BBC Radio 1 for the Sara Cox’s Breakfast Show. He also presents Weekend Breakfast (BBC Radio 5 Live) and The Briefing on the online radio station Monocle 24.
Over his 20+ year career, Matt has reported on elections, natural disasters, and wars across the world, as well as interviewing some of hte highest profile people, including His Majesty King Charles III, and actors Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Angelina Jolie.
Matt has written for The Independent, Monocle and Cycling Plus and currently has a monthly column in Bikes Etc. He has pedalled his way to completing the gruelling L’Étape du Tour in the French Alps and has finished the London Marathon.
He took a break from presenting on our televisions to become a partner at the leading PR firm Freuds, who have worked on global events such as Live Aid, Comic Relief, and Make Poverty History. As partner, he worked closely with a range of clients, including world-famous sport stars and CEOs, helping them to tailor their stories and present them to the world, as well as helping them adapt to changing circumstances.
Matt is a keen fundraiser and has helped to raise more than £400,000 for Norwood; a charity that supports children and families with learning difficulties.

In both 2018 and 2019 Matt headlined on Great British Speakers Sir Bradley Wiggins UK tours, An Evening with Bradley Wiggins where he facilitated Bradley to speak candidly about growing up, his career, retirement and his cycling heroes.
