Natasha Kaplinsky is one of the country’s most recognisable news anchors, having worked for the BBC, Channel 5 and ITN.
Her broadcasting career began on Sky, presenting the Sky News at Five and Sky News: Sunrise, before moving to the BBC, co-presenting the breakfast show, the BBC News at One and BBC Six O’clock news. She has also broadcast the news for Five News, ITV News London and ITV News Meridian.
It was whilst working as a leading member of the Sky News presenting team that the channel won the BAFTA for Best News Channel.
Whilst taking a step back from regular broadcasting, Natasha is being kept busy by her wide range of charity work. In 2017, she was awarded an OBE for her services to Holocaust Commemoration.

Natasha has presented a range of factual and entertainment programmes, including The People’s Medal (2013), Missing Without a Trace (2013), On the Run (2013), and Born to Shine (2011) – which supported the ‘Save the Children: No Child Born to Die’ campaign. Other credits include New Year Live, Making Your Mind Up (2006), The Proms, the VE Day Celebrations, the 2006 Royal Variety Performance, Children in Need (2003-2006), and the BAFTAs.
In 2017, Natasha presented Images of Diana on BBC Radio 5 Live, a series examining photos of the late Princess of Wales.
Natasha Kaplinsky has also been a popular choice of television guest on shows such as Have I Got News For You (2003), Who Do You Think You Are (2007), Let’s Do Lunch With Gino & Mel (2014), Celebrity Antiques Road Trip (2014), Pointless Celebrities (2015-2020), The One Show (2017), This Morning (2011-2020), and Loose Women (2013-2023).
She is probably best known in the world of reality television as being the first ever winner of BBC show Strictly Come Dancing in 2004. She would go on to perform again in their Christmas special, and even co-presented the second series with the late Bruce Forsyth.

Natasha Kaplinsky – OTHER WORK
In 2021, Natasha published the book Letters From Lockdown. It was a collection of over 100 letters from famous faces, frontline workers, and heroes about life during the COVID-19 pandemic. All profits from the sale of the book were donated to Barnardo’s children charity.
She is also the co-founder of Mum & You, a baby brand designed specifically by mums.
