Nick Wallis

Nick Wallis began his career in journalism on XFM Radio in 1997 before moving to BBC Oxford, where he worked as a travel reporter. In 2003, he moved to BBC Three to be part of their expanding news service, and in 2004 he joined Radio 1’s Newsbeat as a reporter. During this time, he also freelanced as a presenter for BBC Radio 5 Live alongside Richard Bacon, Weekend Breakfast and Up All Night.

More About Nick Wallis

In 2007, Nick Wallis began reporting for ITV London and Channel 5 News, and in 2013 started presenting Channel 5’s Criminals Caught on Camera. The show involved him working closely with the police and surveillance teams as they aimed to track down criminals caught on CCTV. Since the show was first broadcast, it has become a global success. He also presented Britain’s Crime Capitals (2014) for Channel 5 and reported on Inside Out (2011-2020) and Word on the Street (2010) for the BBC. He has also been a popular voice on the radio waves, appearing on Saturday Breakfast (2011-2015) for BBC Surrey and Newsbeat (2004-2007; 2012) for BBC Radio 1

In 2020 he produced a high-rating episode of Panorama entitled ‘Scandal at the Post Office’, where he investigated what could be Britain’s biggest miscarriage of justice scandal after postmasters were jailed following a faulty computer system. He has since created two websites, Post Office Trial and Post Office Scandal, and published The Great Post Office Scandal (2021).

Nick has also taken his journalism online, live tweeting from the Johnny Depp libel trial in 2020 and 2022 to his 30,000+ followers.
