British Comedy Award winner, Nina Conti shot to fame after winning the BBC’s New Comedy show in 2002. With a little help from her notorious sidekick ‘Monk,’ Nina has won numerous comedy awards for her writing, acting and ventriloquism.
She regularly headlines at UK comedy venues including The Comedy Store and Soho Theatre and has performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
She is in high demand for memorable corporate events and after dinner entertainment.
Nina Conti has showcased her ventriloquism at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Montreal Comedy Festival. In 2014, Nina was nominated at The British Comedy Awards for Best Female Television Comic and is a BAFTA nominated filmmaker.
She has sold out UK tours and has taken her most recent tour ‘In your Face’ overseas to America, Australia and New Zealand.
Alongside her live work, Nina has appeared on The Nightly Show, Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Apollo, QI, The John Bishop Show, Celebrity Squares, Sunday Night at the Palladium, the Rob Brydon Show and HBO’s Family Tree.
On radio, Nina featured on the BBC Radio 4 Sony-Award winning series, Clare in the Community and in the BBC Radio 4 Comedy show Sneekiepeeks.
In 2012, Nina fronted two documentaries for the BBC. The first, Make Me Happy: A Monkey’s Search for Happiness followed Nina as she took her companion ‘Monk’ on a journey into the world of new age and alternative therapies. The second, A Ventriloquists Story: Her Masters Voice saw Nina take the bereaved puppets of her mentor Ken Campbell on a pilgrimage to Vent Haven. The programme was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award.
Nina has just completed two shows at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe – ‘In Your Face’ and ‘In Therapy’ – both of which received outstanding reviews. Nina is a confident and entertaining speaker.
She often performs hosts an after-dinner cabaret with ‘Monk’ and a few other specially selected ‘friends’.
Alongside her live and broadcast work, Nina is an experienced corporate act and one of our most sought-after clients.
