In 1993, Paddy transitioned to McLaren, where his innovative approach continued to shine. By 2005, he had risen to the position of Technical Director, overseeing the development of pioneering systems such as brake steer, integrated data analysis and simulators, and seamless gear shifts. These innovations secured multiple championships and cemented Paddy’s status as one of the sport’s most forward-thinking engineers.

His work on Project Martin with the Royal Air Force in 2021 led to the world’s first flight powered entirely by synthetic fuel, produced by extracting hydrogen from water and carbon from atmospheric CO2. This groundbreaking achievement underscores his commitment to environmental sustainability and positions him at the forefront of the transition from fossil fuels.
