Presenter, Host, Speaker & Sales Coach
Richard Abrahams combines his own natural style, a passion for an audience & the most confident stage presence and has been entertaining audiences since the age of 7, when he brought the house down with his impression of the rugby commentator, Eddie Waring, in the primary school play!
Give him a microphone or put him in front of a camera and he is in his element doing the things he loves – presenting and public speaking
Having run his own successful and award-winning direct home improvements Business, Elmhurst Windows in Leeds, for over 32 years, it was fairly obvious that Richard Abrahams would front and present all the Elmhurst review videos, interviewing customers whilst showing off their new products, for the Elmhurst social media platforms.
He is indeed Elmhurst’s in-house “influencer”.
Being on the front line of direct sales for over 30 years has given Richard the credibility of not only training his own sales force but also sales teams from external organisations. His work as an ambassador for the Inner Game of Sales Academy puts a different spin on his sales training approach where he focuses more on subjects like positive psychology, peak performance training & understanding buyers’ motivations.
Richard trains individuals and teams but also speaks at sales conferences for a number of organisations.

Running an SME in today’s world has its challenges and in 2018 Richard unfortunately suffered with severe mental health problems which hospitalised him in a psychiatric unit. This was the worst time in Richard’s life.
Through his journey of recovery, Richard Abrahams decided to use his public speaking skills to spread the word and become an advocate for men’s mental health, in particular. He now speaks across the UK telling “his story” whilst at the same time, giving valuable advise to men, warning of the dangers of brushing mental health under the carpet, exposing the vulnerability of men, uncovering the mask of masculinity & re-wiring the brain to enjoy a more balanced work-life future.
Richard Abrahams presents corporate videos, voice over’s for radio & TV and “stars” in his own Sky Ad Smart TV commercial for Elmhurst . He hosts his own podcast, “Unlock your mental health” and is about to embark on a new series of podcasts for the fenestration industry.
Richard Abrahams is a regular contributor on BBC Radio Leeds & hosts his own show “Mind Your Business” on community radio.
Earlier this year Richard masterminded the first Men’s mental health event in Leeds called “Re-Wired” – an eye opener for men to enjoy a day away from the office to hear inspirational speakers, network & participate in workshops.

National Advancing Men’s Mental Health
What a pleasure it was meeting Richard Abrahams yesterday at our International Women’s Day and having him on our Men’s panel. He is truly and inspiration and his genuine openness about his own struggles was so touching and should inspire other men to open up and address their own battles with mental health. Richard had the audience so engaged and it was so interesting to se how the emphasis of the day changed with everyone so engrossed with the sensitive subjects of Mental Health & Well Being. We would definitely invite Richard back as he is such a polished and professional public speaker and talks from the heart about a subject, he is so passionate about.
