Roberta Lucca – known as Beta – is a highly successful entrepreneur and co-founder of the BAFTA-winning games company Bossa Studies. Bossa is now amongst the 1% top performing start-ups in the UK in terms of annual sales, which is not bad for a company that only started in 2010.

Roberta Lucca is in a unique position – a highly successful female entrepreneur in the technology industry. She believes that tech and managerial work is for everyone and often uses her role to address the gender imbalance in the industry.
With a degree in Computer Science and two MBAs in management and marketing, Roberta has a lot of strings to her entrepreneurial bow. In 2013 she started WonderLuk, which provided 3D-printed jewellery on-demand, collaborating with the likes of TopShop and The V&A Museum. Then in 2016, she founded BOLDR, a company that provided an artificial intelligence business app to help people develop their ideas.
As well as starting up her own companies, she is a prolific investor in a wide range of businesses, including digital services Beautystack, Dent Reality, Quench, Xip, Cosmos Video, Electric Noir Studios, Rosecut and Katch; health and wellness providers The Joy Club, Heights, Fertility Circle and Gwella; home and entertainment brands Life Supplies, Cocoli and Loveshark; and, space exploration companies Gama.
Her successes in the industry have gained Roberta several nominations and accolades, including being named one of the Evening Standard’s Most Influential People in Creative Arts, was found on LinkedIn’s 2022 Top Voices list, in the Top 30 Women in Games for MCV Women and was a finalist for the Every Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, amongst many others.

In 2020, Roberta started a podcast titled Hyper Curious, which celebrates our curiosity to achieve greatness in our professional and personal life. Since launching, she has spoken to the biggest entrepreneurs, authors and investors worldwide.
