Rohan Randhawa is a motivational speaker and resilience expert.
His journey in resilience started when he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma as a child, and takes us through the grief of his father’s sudden heart attack, and addresses the taboo topic of male infertility.
It is through these experiences that Rohan has shaped his vision and his mission: to inspire and motivate people to transform trauma into triumph and pain into power.
He is now a proud adoptive father and husband; a board member of a children’s cancer charity, and a national leader in the sports development sector.
His keynotes specialise in the art of resilience, your mindset, and overwhelming adversity, as well as his own personal journey through illness and grief.
Rohan Randhawa’s remarkable journey began at just eight years old, when the discovery of a burst kidney turned into a stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis. He commenced a gruelling battle against cancer, including painful chemotherapy and multiple surgeries, and given a 50% chance of survival.
Following this, Rohan was declared cancer-free and he felt stronger for it. But that wasn’t all that would test his resilience. When he was 19, his father had a sudden heart attack, casting a shadow of grief over his life.
As Rohan grew into adulthood, he was given the news that thanks to the chemotherapy, he had become infertile, all at a time where he was trying to become a father himself.
Amidst the pain he had experienced, Rohan found strength in his resilience, using specific tactics to navigate through life’s uncertain and dark moments. Today, Rohan harnesses his personal experiences to help inspire and motivate others on the resilience of the human spirit.
Rohan has learned why resilience is so important and how it can impact every aspect of your life, both personally and professionally, as well as how it can impact students:
Mental Health Benefits: Resilience acts as a buffer against burnout, depression, and stress
Workplace Impacts: 4 in 10 people neglect their mental health due to work pressures, leading to long-term health issues
Organisational Importance: Businesses investing in employee wellbeing will see higher job satisfaction and increased productivity
Community and Creativity: Bringing teams together in person to discuss resilience fosters a sense of community and creativity.
Student Mental Health: Young people (ages 8-25) face record high levels of stress and anxiety.
Academic Pressures: Actively promoting resilience tactics enables students to handle exam stress and stay focused, maximising their potential.
Positive School Culture: Schools fostering resilience can significantly improve mental health outcomes across the school.
Resilience Tactics For Staff: Promoting self-care and well-being practices among staff boosts morale and effectiveness.
Resilient Mindset: Resilient individuals are more likely to overcome challenges and setbacks, leading to improved performance in both work and home life.
Through Rohan’s captivate keynotes, he shares invaluable insights into how to find strength in vulnerability, how to navigate adversity, and how to uncover the opportunities hidden within life’s challenges, turning pain into power.
Before all of his talks, Rohan starts by getting to know you, your company, your staff, and your desired outcomes. He can tailor his talks to fit specific needs, with talks ranging from 45-75 minutes, as well as providing virtual services.

The students came away with vital techniques to deal with day to day stresses of school life and young adulthood. Rohan made the presentation interactive, keeping the students engaged for the full duration and at times leaving them in awe of his amazing life story and the experiences which have led him to be able to pass on such key life lessons.
Resilience with Rohan would add huge value to any school year group assemblies or full-school presentations. In this day and age, it is increasingly important that young people show resilience and understand they can keep up and thrive in what is a fast paced and pressured environment we now live in.
