Most recently (2021) Simon Parker returned from a 3,427-mile cycle around ‘pandemic Britain’. This is the basis of his forthcoming book (April 21st 2022) and his latest live keynote talk. The trip was also documented in a 20-part online, print and video series for The Telegraph.
Inspired by his adventure, Simon Parker’s been booked to speak at, The Archair Adventure Festival, a Royal Geographical Society Monday Night Lecture, and a tour with the Scottish Royal Geographical Society, among lots of schools and members’ clubs in 2021 alone. His talk is a topical, adventurous look at how Britain has/is recovering from the pandemic at ground level. Simon Parker – Previous Work/Achievements
- In 2016 Simon sailed and cycled from China to London in 133 days – racing with and against the Round the World Yacht Race, for a BBC Radio documentary and Daily Telegraph series.
- Simon has been stationed in South America for the BBC, hiked every possible route to Machu Picchu and as a fully-qualified paragliding pilot, flown solo through the Colombian Andes.
- He is a former TEDx speaker and has served as a panel chair at the prestigious Front Line Club, London.
