STEVE PARRISH – MEDIA EXPERIENCE:
He media career started in 1985 for BBC Radio before going to SKY commentate on Superbike racing. From there in 1990 he moved to BBC TV providing the commentary for the British 125 championship, then hopping over to the BBC’s Moto GP coverage, currently undertaken with Charlie Cox. The pair has a superb rapport and have voiced a number of series for the BBC from the late 1990s, including the British Touring Car Championship, British and World Superbikes & now MotoGP.
As if he weren’t busy enough Steve is a qualified pilot and is a commentator for the Red Bull Air Race series for CH 4.
STEVE PARRISH – OTHER WORK:
Away from the Media spotlight Steve is an expert witness being a consultant in various motor racing incidents and is a regular writer and tester for racing magazines.
STEVE PARRISH – RECORD BREAKER:
Steve still holds the Guinness Book of Records world record for the “Fastest Speed Achieved in Reverse” in a Caterham car travelling at 105mph!
He also co-authored the story of Motorcycling legend Barry Sheene with Nick Harris.
