Stuart Goldsmith’s comedy career started at Warwick Castle, where he worked as a Court Jester of all things. He combined this with his performances in the street theatre comedy duo Kiosk of Champions. Since these humble beginnings, Stuart has become one of the UK – and the world’s – most popular comedians, having been the only UK comic to be invited to perform at the South by South West festival in Texas. He has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
Since 2012, Stuart has been running The Comedian’s Comedian podcast, interviewing some of the world’s funniest comedians about their career, and how they cope with the challenges that come with it. Guests have included Bo Burnham, James Acaster, Jimmy Carr, Kathy Griffin, Russell Howard, Sarah Millican, and Stewart Lee, and has been downloaded a whopping 20 million times!
He can often be seen on television entertainment shows, including Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (2015), The Dog Ate My Homework (2016), The One Show (2019), Conan (2019), In Conversation with Jimmy Carr: The Before & Laughter Book Tour (2021), and as the host of Stuart Goldsmith’s Infinite Sofa (2020-2021). As well as being a successful comedian, Stuart is a highly regarded corporate speaker known for his hugely popular talks on resilience.
Stuart thinks that comedians are a great source of information regarding resilience. With frequent trips out of town or overseas, no colleagues, the spotlight all on them, possible heckles, awkward silences, only to repeat it the next day. But they keep going. They don’t give up. Having interviewed over 400 comedians, Stuart provides a 45-minute session on how to use their tips on resilience to better your own.
Stuart offers a talk on authenticity, suited best for executives and leaders, but would suit anyone who wants to be flexible without sacrificing their own identity and public persona. With specific learnings on managing risk and consistency, he once again looks at how high-profile comedians keep their sense of self.
Climate comedy is a 30-minute comic presentation full of jokes that alleviate the worry and anxiety we all feel when faced with the climate crisis, and other environmental and sustainability concerns.

Stuart was absolutely brilliant and brought a fantastically upbeat (and much needed) energy to our firm’s Friday afternoon call. His perspectives on building resilience were really thoughtful and relevant for us all. I would highly recommend this session as an alternative and fresh take on cultivating resilience.

The topic was very on point and resonated really well with the group, and without question, Stuart delivered it incredibly well. I (and the team) were really impressed that Stuart could hold the audience with such engagement in a virtual environment for his 45 minute session – the time flew by!

We booked Stuart Goldsmith to deliver his talk on resilience at our first face to face company event after lockdown. Stuart was brilliant; he nailed the brief, and the balance of meaningful content and humour was perfect for our audience. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for an uplifting and engaging speaker, especially if you are looking for something more original and entertaining than the usual ‘motivational talks’.
Jo Matkin, CEO, Celsus Group
We approached Stuart to help us organise our company’s online birthday party. Stuart was amazing from start to finish. On the night he blew us away with both his professionalism and his friendly wit. It would not have been the same show without him in the host seat. Everyone at the company is still talking about it.
Dominic, Softwire Technology
Stuart Goldsmith hosted h Club 100 Awards for the first time in 2017. His contribution to the ceremony was immense, he engaged the room in a unique fashion and immediately established a rapport with the audience and had them laughing out loud. He made the whole evening and had the audience certainly in the palm of his hand. He had strong background knowledge of the awards and hosted with confidence. I cannot recommend him highly enough – he certainly took our awards evening to a different level this year.
Michael, Creative Director, The Hospital Club
